How retention works

Utah judges don't run against anyone. Voters answer yes or no on keeping each judge for another term. Utah Lt. Governor: how judicial retention elections work.
Before each election, the Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission reviews every judge and publishes a finding in the official voter pamphlet. Utah Lt.
