| In their words | Director and Project Manager · Providence · age 41 (as they listed it in the official 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet) Utah Lt. Governor: 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet (candidate statements, amendment text, judge evaluations) “My name is Peter Crosby, and I am focused on practical solutions for the biggest challenges facing Northern Utah: an affordability crisis that touches every part of our lives, protecting the Great Salt Lake and our public lands, and directly tackling corruption in our highest institutions. I do not accept corporate PAC donations or funding from PACs aligned with foreign interests, and want to get dark money out of our political system. I believe citizens of Northern Utah deserve a representative that lives in the district, listens to their concerns, and puts the people of Utah ahead of party or the pursuit of personal power. I am a husband, father of 3 daughters, a working professional with over 20 years of experience, and an educator rooted here in Northern Utah. I have two degrees in political science, both from Utah State University, where I am also an adjunct faculty member. I am deeply invested in ensuring the best interests of the community where I live, work, and pay taxes. I walk our communities and hold monthly in-person town halls so I can understand what you need me to help with. I hope I can earn your trust and your vote.” Utah Lt. Governor: 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet (candidate statements, amendment text, judge evaluations) | Automation Engineer · Ogden · age 34 (as they listed it in the official 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet) Utah Lt. Governor: 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet (candidate statements, amendment text, judge evaluations) “I'm not a politician--I'm an automation engineer. My job is to study manufacturing systems and interview production personnel, analyze data, and correct flaws in the system so we can achieve better results. It is vital to understand that improving outcomes depends on improving the system, both in manufacturing and politics. If a manufacturing process or electoral system rewards bad choices, lecturing people to behave differently won't make improvements stick.” “I’m a normal (nerdy) Utah dad: I adore playing board games with my family, playing Ultimate Frisbee on Saturdays, and reading Brandon Sanderson with my kids. My family inspires solemn responsibility to leave a better world for the next generation. For too long, we have procrastinated addressing important problems facing our country, and I am terrified that if nothing changes, they’ll inherit a country in crisis due to our poor choices.” “My faith is the foundation of my moral framework. Organized worship is critical for me, because it develops the fabric of community, creates opportunities to volunteer and serve others, and teaches me the empathy to esteem my neighbor as myself. The gospel encourages us to look outwards to help one another, and to look inwards for ways to constantly improve.” Utah Lt. Governor: 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet (candidate statements, amendment text, judge evaluations) | “It has been the honor of my life to represent Northern Utah in Congress. Over the last three terms, I’ve worked to deliver real results while standing up for the values that make our state and country strong.” “That means fighting Washington’s reckless spending and pushing for greater fiscal discipline. It means strengthening Hill Air Force Base, supporting our servicemen and women, and making sure Utah continues to play a vital role in our national defense. It means standing up to China, bringing critical industries and supply chains back to America, and protecting our economic and national security.” “I’ve also worked to help Utah families and small businesses keep more of what they earn. We’ve delivered meaningful tax relief, expanded the adoption tax credit, restored the charitable deduction, and advanced policies that help businesses invest, hire, and grow.” “As Vice Chair of the House Republican Conference and a member of the Ways and Means and Budget Committees, I’m proud to give Utah a strong voice in Washington.” “There is still important work ahead. I’m running for another term to keep fighting for Northern Utah, advancing conservative solutions, and building a stronger future for the next generation.” Utah Lt. Governor: 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet (candidate statements, amendment text, judge evaluations) | Program Manager · American Fork · age 57 (as they listed it in the official 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet) Utah Lt. Governor: 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet (candidate statements, amendment text, judge evaluations) “I oppose the Box Elder data center because of the dishonesty surrounding its MIDA approval, its size, which is bigger than the city of Boston, the lack of transparency on how much water it will use (power generation alone for 9GW will take billions of gallons, which they don't tell you), and because I think the data center will be used to erode our liberty. I'm also opposed to increasing our national debt. I am for a strong national defense to protect our country. We aren't the world's policeman and we should avoid unnecessary foreign wars and entanglements. We need to recognize that we have corruption in Utah. Some MIDA board members, according to the Utah Auditor's office, are personally receiving $25,000 or more a month from contracts they approved with their own business interests. And the corruption goes all the way to the top. Cox appointed MIDA and brought the Box Elder data center to them for approval. Remember the data center is still approved at its original 40,000 acre size. Let's change that by undoing the approval. I am committed to doing that. Send someone they don't own, and let's clean up Utah!” Utah Lt. Governor: 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet (candidate statements, amendment text, judge evaluations) |
